Rutland Restorations

This issue, with its cover of the Royce House on Merchant’s Row, is devoted to the restoration of buildings in Rutland, under the auspices of the federally sponsored Historical Preservation Project of the Downtown Development Corporation.

Those mentioned include the Lawrence House; the Knights of Columbus Building; and those purchased by Cyrus Smith of Pittsfield, which include a string of four houses in various locations.

Three photographs accompany the article showing 85 Park Avenue; 41 Cottage Street and the Knights of Columbus building.
